Welcome to Huloo — a platform connecting riders and drivers for safe, affordable, and reliable transportation. By using Huloo’s app, website, or services (“the Platform”), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Huloo, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and other applicable policies. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. The Huloo Platform
Huloo provides a technology platform that connects individuals seeking transportation (“Riders”) with individuals providing transportation (“Drivers”). Huloo does not own vehicles or employ drivers. Drivers operate as independent service providers.
3. User Eligibility and Conduct
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Huloo.
- You must have a valid phone number and create an account with accurate details.
- Drivers must meet additional requirements, including valid identification, driver’s license, and background checks.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- Huloo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms or misuse of the platform.
5. Ride Requests and Acceptance
- Riders can request rides through the app by setting pickup and drop-off locations.
- Drivers may accept or decline requests at their discretion.
- A ride begins once the driver starts the trip and ends when the rider is dropped off at the destination.
- Changes to stops or destinations may result in updated fares.
6. Fare and Payments
- Fares are calculated based on trip distance, duration, base fare, and applicable taxes or surcharges.
- In private rides, fares may be negotiated before acceptance. Shared rides have fixed fares.
- Riders may pay via cash, QR code, or POS, integrated through our payment partners.
- Huloo deducts its commission and applicable VAT automatically from digital transactions.
- For cash payment trips, drivers are responsible for remitting Huloo’s commission as required.
7. Cancellations and Fees
- Riders and drivers can cancel a trip before it starts, subject to the Cancellation Policy.
- Cancellation fees may apply, especially if the driver has already arrived at the pickup point or waited beyond the grace period.
- Repeated last-minute cancellations may lead to account review or suspension.
8. Ratings and Reviews
After each trip, both drivers and riders can rate each other. Ratings help ensure accountability and quality.Huloo reserves the right to review accounts with consistently low ratings.
9. Safety and Conduct
All users must :
- Treat others with respect and courtesy.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior.
- Comply with traffic laws and local regulations.
- Follow Huloo’s Community Guidelines.
- Huloo may suspend or remove any user involved in unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
10. Insurance and Liability
During active trips, Huloo provides limited insurance coverage as required by local regulations.However, Huloo is not liable for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- Accidents, injuries, or disputes between users.
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
11. Platform Usage
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
- Interfere with the platform’s functionality.
- Copy, modify, or distribute content from the platform without permission.
- Attempt to access data of other users.
12. Termination
Huloo may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You violate these Terms or any policy.
- You misuse the platform.
- Required by law or regulatory authority.
- You may delete your account anytime via the app.
13. Changes to these Terms
Huloo may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be communicated via the app or website, with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly.
